Self-service machines that enable you to print, scan or photocopy are multi-functional and can produce black and white, colour and duplex (back to back) copies. They are available in the following locations:
Copying, printing and scanning is charged to your student account. You can top up credit on your account using the University’s online payment system or, alternatively you may use the Print Credit Kiosk’s located in each of our Libraries.
We also offer a chargeable student printing system. This is created automatically as part of your Student IT account. Once you have credited your account, you can print from PCs in any student PC lab or in the Libraries based in each campus. All computer labs have access to a black and white A4 printer and in central locations colour and A3 output. You can add credit in 2 ways to your Printing account.
Through our online shop The shop can be found within the Access your Printing Account website, or in the Quick Links section of UniLife. When buying print credit from the online shop there is a minimum purchase of £5.00.
Print credit kiosk Using a Print credit kiosk located in each of our Libraries and in the Upper Glyntaff Reception, here you can use cash (coins and notes) to purchase credit, 5p minimum top up.For all the terms and conditions for Printing accounts click here

Bring your own device – Mobile Printing – To use this feature just attach your files you would like to print to an email and send to firstname.lastname@example.org then release your jobs from any Canon Printer.
When making copies from books, journals and other resources, users are advised to familiarise themselves with Copyright.
At the Treforest Library and Student Centre, copies can be made from microfilm or microfiche by using a Reader Printer. Please ask at the Information and Service Desk for assistance in using this machine.
A wide range of high quality print services, including dissertation binding, are also available from USW print and design. Located on Level 1 (ground floor) of the Treforest Library and Student Centre.
Books, journal articles, guides and other documents can potentially be converted into accessible formats (e.g. digital, large print, Braille) on request. Please see details of our Information Access service for futher information.
